HELP!!! MY WEBSITE IS VERY SLOW... - 3/6/2009 21:14:55
All,
any help is appreciated...i have a membership site where users can search and view records they enter...but my site seems to upload/query slowly..what can i do to optimize my site and make results return quickly?

Without seeing the site it would be hard to say but some of the following are possible:
* Your on a shared DB server that is reaching it's saturation point. Working for a hosting company we had this happen a few times on a really old DB server we used. Solution, get moved to a newer DB server
* Same as above, but the shared hosting server for the website is hosting a TON of sites
* Your DB is getting too big and needs to be optimized.

Another area to check would be the server logs. Most servers also log "log-ins" and "access denied" errors. If that's not available then you should contact the hosting company. Sometimes shared hosting can experience slowdowns due to other sites, on the same server, that are incorrectly configured.
