FP Photo gallery cross browser problems - 3/19/2009 10:21:53
The gallery looks just fine in IE, but Firefox and Safari both run the photos (slideshow) all the way across the top of the page. Is there any way to constrain it to 800 pixels? I use FP 2003 and here's a link to the site:
www.specweld.com/bulkmhgallery.asp
I tried saving it as an html page also, to no avail.
Thanks

Unfortunatley, all I can say to the coding is :)

I understand it's written in FP - but thats the reason why it won't display properly in Firefox.

There's no overflow variable on the table data tag - they don't exist, and the Javascript used to create the image gallery will only function in IE due to its nature.

You can try making sure all the width="xxx" attributes are like the following: width="800px" etc - Firefox likes to be given a delimeter of what measurements to use, as there is more than just pixels.

Other than that, I would say rethink the gallery design to something more CSS based and less.....code consuming.

If you want to have a photo gallery that works in multiple browsers DO NOT use the FP photogallery. It's a M$ thing, M$ FP photo gallery works with M$ IE and that's it. I suggest you look at something like JAlbum or do a search for some of the other photo gallery apps that are out there.

New photogalleries, stop by sometime.
Or you could just view the old stuff.
Old photogalleries
