Timestamps & Daylight Saving Time - 3/24/2009 11:46:29
I need some help figuring out a problem I have been having ever since Microsoft came out with the new DST fix in response to the changes in 2007. - I maintain an internal website for my company.
- I use FrontPage and its wizards whenever possible.
- I use timestamps for both displaying time and returning a time on a form for staff to sign in to the office.
- The time that is displayed is correct on a page & in the wizard as I am setting the timestamp up for a form
- The time is off an hour when viewing it on a page with form results.
I am double checking on the server hosting the site to see if that time zone is correct and adjust for DST is on, but that takes an email and I am still waiting. I the meantime I read what seems to be the only post from 2003 and it did not help (except to check server time, as stated above). I assume the DST fix/patch for Windows is not needed for Windows Storage Server 2003 or Server 2008. The question I have is why would there be a discrepency between wizard time and result time. If the server time settings are correct, would the time is see in the FrontPage wizard be different than the one that posts? (or will it show the development computer's time and only pick to the server's time at the time of post?) Thank you for your help. Micheal
