Help me! Admin login needed for one page on site! - 4/28/2009 11:28:35
Hi, ive only been doing website design a while but have made my first site for my cricket club. Ive come up with an idea that i would like to do on the site. Basically every week the team gets picked by 3 different captains and they want the data on the site. Ive made a basic additional page so far for it to go on. www.stonecricketclub.co.uk/teamselection.html However i would like them to be able to login via a box on that page and just add data to the table. All very straight forward im sure for someone on this forum. Would really appreciate the help! Thanks for your time guys fulham7

There are lots of login scripts out there. Depends on what your server can handle. PHP, ASP.net? First check that out and then do a google search for login script. If you need to keep track of users with different passwords then yes, you will need a database. FrontPage has a really easy way to handle logins but it is for a directory and you need the FP extensions enabled on the server.

Great question from a new designer. Great answer! Good luck with your login page - should work the first time with no problem. Oh, and every time after that too! As to ".....taste for quality and luxury...."; at my age, I'm glad to be able to taste at all! Aye...
