Photography Website - Suggestions? - 5/4/2009 16:30:44
Okay, I am not sure if I am on the right forum or not. I do designs in photoshop, but am not so good at coding. Does anyone know of any software out there or program one could use for a photography website? I want to be able to do the design in psd and dreamweaver, but I need a site where clients of the photographer can login to view their pictures. Anyone know of anything? My client wants to be able to manage this herself. Or, a place I might be able to go to get the coding done for this. Thanks!

JAlbum is the best software application I know of to create photo albums, including password protected galleries. It helps if you know a little coding though.:) JAlbum will create the gallery for you but you need to do a little work to integrate it into your site design. Of course if there's a possibility of sales from the site you might want to look at something like Smugmug or ZenFolio. They're not as customizable as building your own but they have other advantages. Once again a knowledge of CSS and HTML is quite helpful to get things looking the way you want.

New photogalleries, stop by sometime.
