steveg Posts: 309 Joined: 10/20/2004 Status: offline	Struggling to write an Access query - 5/8/2009 6:14:08 I have two files that contain data that I need to compare. Both files have similar data except that file 1 does not contain prices and file two does and file one only has an actual date and file 2 data has a date range where the price was relevant. I have related the database on two code fields, code field abc and code field def. I want to write a query that combines data from both files when the "effective date" field in file 1 is in the range of the "effective date" and "obsolete date" for the matching code record in file 2.
