SQL query using DRW - with variable - 5/10/2009 22:26:36
Hi
I've got an odd problem. Some years ago I set up some search queries using data from our helpdesk. (SQL database). Now they are working fine - but I wanted to make a slight change to one and now when I go back into the DRW to make the change - when I verify I get "The custom query contains errors." Now the other interesing thing is the normal yellow DRW is now red and shows text "This is the start of a Database Results region. The custom query contains errors."
I don't recall this being the case when the query was first written... but that was back in '05.
This is a SQL query with a search parameter.
The SQL code in the custom query looks like this
exec usp_HDWklyCallRpt '::CustAltGroup::'

Then I get redirected to the MS Kb article 907307.
Now I've looked at this and gone in and updated the _fpclass files as spooky directed.

Can anyone advise where the problem might be? Is it a server extension issue? Or maybe a global.asa issue?
Or something else?
I look forward to your help.
Cheers
Ro

Well, I'm not sure how I got it working back in '05 but I can't be bothered mucking around...
So I've change my Stored Procedure to a View and it's working fine. Sleeping on the problem generally helps.
