submit form - 5/11/2009 11:56:40
Hi,
I am doing a website which will be on the intranet. My computer is the server, IIS 5.1 is installed, and i alse have installed Frontpage extensions.
I´ve seen many posts about the same issue but, none of them posting the solution. I think this is a known issue but i just cant manage my way to it.
My website is visible on the entire intranet. I add hyperlinks to documents on the internal server correctly.
My problem comes with the forms, i just dont know how to configure the submit. I dont want to get the form results by email. i just need it in plain text at least. but i need the server to process the form and get the data somehow.
On the form properties I have to choose, either to keep data on a server file , which i have tried on many different ways and i dont get anything, or use a program from my service provider, this is where i must type something on the Action Textbox and write something like \\server\cgi-script but i dont think i have these script or if i do i dont know where, or if dont need a script, what else can i put here.
Thanks.

Are you trying to use the FrontPage form wizards to do this?

Eeek :)

Ms Publisher is a very bad idea - you would need to get yourself a copy of FrontPage, Expression or Dreamweaver if you are serious about web design, no matter the purpose.
