Yes check out the site when you get a chance as you will find it is not to be recomeded in its current state. You misunderstnad me, I am not saying code should keep up with browsers .. I am saying that when a new version of a popular browser (and yes IE is very very popular with jo public) comes out they should check and offer solutions to any bugs etc or at least point out that the browser is not displaying properly other wise it totally misleads the novice into thinking that site is gospel and it will then confuse them when they do check in IE7 and IE8 and Firefox and thinkg they have made the mistake ..... there are plenty of sites out there that have already posted workarounds for code, htmldogs should have done the same, more than likely they are in the process of which is good, but until then the OP (and chances are he is following this thread as it is of importance to the question he asked) should be aware that htmldogs has not covered browser differences, which is important. But who is to say which browser views badly? The examples I pointed out look identical in IE8 and latest version of Firefox ... so Firefox is not that good then either. It is IE7 that displays differently to the other two. I think I have made my very simple helpful point, that the tutorial site is not to be totally relied on as it does not give fixes and workarounds, which most good tutorial sites and well known CSS forums do and have already done so in a lot of cases. Yes we are entitled to our own opinions on what browsers we do or dont like, but noone can disupute facts and the browsers show the facts in each case. If a site gives examples then they need to make sure those examples view acceptably ... which theirs dont. Amen! p.s. ... have this little script that detects when a static page was last updated, and the block example on their website was last updated 7-23-2006 at 13:34:16 hours.
