Has anyone used/have thoughts on MailChimp? - 6/14/2009 9:31:40
I am hoping this is part of the business building and in the correct forum. We want to create a weekly email newsletter for a site (it is for a School of the Arts.) I was wondering if anyone has used MailChimp and what their thoughts/experience with it is. Or if there are other email marketing tools that would be recommended over MailChimp?

I suppose the features that were appealing with MailChimp are - the reports, the signup form you can intergrate into the site, their compliance to spam regulations, how you can create interest groups, you can use template or custom html and css, and also when you are just starting out and you have under 100 subscribers it is free.

Any guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks!

From what I've heard about it (never having used it myself) it is a good tool. I especially like the free aspect of it. :)

I've been to their site a few times recently. It definitely looks worth a try. Why not give the free plan a try and let us know?

Here's another email service I have heard good things about.

I have quite a few customers who use Constant Contact. They all seam reasonably happy with it, although 1 was recently kicked out for violating their terms of service. You have to be very careful not to do anything that looks at all spammy.

I will give the free plan a try. There doesn't seem to be a contract so as long as I don't become too popular. . . . LOL :) I will post back next week with an update. I will also look into the others as well. Many thanks! Jennifer

Watch out! This simian is bias to Chimpmail! I believe it is owned by one of his close cousins

I think the best should go for the best either Aweber or Getresponse.
