importing mspublisher html file into msexpression web - 6/16/2009 23:33:14
I'm in charge of a club website, using Expression Web, and another member is willing to contribute to the site but uses msPublisher. If he sends me a Publisher.html file, I would like to import it into a div on our website. There is no problem with FireFox reading it, but wouldn't you know that MS loses all of the graphics entirely, along with the text formatting! Is there anything I can do to streamline this process and make it work? For all intents and purposes, here is a link to a mockup example of what I'm trying to accomplish.... test it out in FireFox, then IE; the paragraph and photo in the right div column go wonky in IE. (If you go to the homepage and click on the "Pt Orchard Cruise" link, you can see what I am trying to accomplish.... that file was saved as a jpeg in publisher, then pasted, so the text looks crappy. Thanks. Cindy http://www.eagleharboryachtclub.com/filetest.htm

You will never get a site to work using pages built in Publisher. Your home page alone is loaded in a ton of code produced by Publisher. Have you considered using a free product such as WordPress? It has thousands of templates and you and your friend could update the site from a very simple control panel.
