Cannot load fpsrvutl.dll - 7/11/2009 17:46:07
After a Windows update to Office 2003 (of which I only have the FP2003 program) I've started receiving the message "Cannot load fpsrvutl.dll" when starting FP. I have only one website left that is written in FP and am not taking on any new business, so I have no incentive to upgrade. Any help anyone can offer would be appreciated.

You could do a system restore. or
Put your FrontPage CD in the drive and let the install process start. You should be prompted to: Uninstall or Repair. Do the repair.
Do you have Norton on that computer? Some people have that error if Norton is installed.
You can google that error to get some more fixes.

I have tried to repair FP, reinstall FP and numerous other means to fixing the fpsrvutl.dll error. Further reading leads me to believe the file itself is part of Office 2003. I downloaded and installed Office 2003 SP3 which the Microsoft KB article indicated would fix the error. Unfortunately it didn't.
Many of the websites that "offer DLL files" only sell registry maintenance tools.
Can FP2003 be upgraded to EWD at a reasonable cost? Is the transition from FP to EWD intuitive or is there a steep learning curve?

When you say EWD do you mean Expression Web? If so then hold off as EW version 3 will be released soon. It is a better program then FP, more standards compliant.
Are you running Norton antivirus?
Did you do a system restore?
