Free directories offering link-backs - 7/13/2009 2:56:54
They say there's no such thing as a free lunch but it's always worth finding out I suppose... Can anyone recommend any UK-based online directories that will list your website for free - including a hyperlink to the site? Also, a question on hyperlinks and SEO... I have been looking at some directories that do offer links to listed websites but noticed that the links are php or javascript driven rather than straight html. Does this type of link still get 'seen' by Google and have SEO value?

Google is not going to index anything which involves Javascript. Php is fine......

Google CAN follow standard JavaScript links. This has been shown to be true many times.

Hi, Yep... Google is fine with indexing javascript links.. However, it would be better to reduce too much use of javascript
