1 item remaining (waiting for .....) - 7/13/2009 10:15:25
Why has this suddenly started appearing in the staus bar when I try to load the home page of my website? How do I find out which "item" it's waiting for?

Looks good in IE8 and FF3.5. But If your photos are not optimized for the web then your image preloader script could cause that message if you are on a dialup modem. On broadband here so it looks OK for me.

Either the google ads or your photos. I'll ask you again: "Did you optimize your photos for the web"? And "Are you on dialup"?

Sorry, missed your questions. I'm on Broadband 2MB. The photo's aren't optimised but they're not large. This has only started happening in the last few days I think. I'm currently changing all of the logos from remote sites to my own server to see if that helps. Thanks for your interest.

You are a star!! Thank you so much. I've just removed it and the page loads immediately. Thanks again. Mike.

Glad you got it resolved. I believe that is what Don was referring to when he mentioned the Google Ads

Nevermind, I figured it out! There was an object (included in every page) that caused the problem: Pages loaded great after the object was removed.

RE: Wheelchair access - 11/13/2009 6:38:42
Oops, sorry for the slow reply, only just returned to this forum. Wheelchair access is very difficult for the villas on my site, as the whole urbanisation is built into the side of a fairly steep hill, and consequently I think all of them have steps or stairs. Feel free to have a browse around the site to see if you think there is anything suitable, but if the wheelchair is a necessity rather than an aid, I don't think I can help you, so sorry.
