Streaming MP4 Video - 7/14/2009 10:14:17
I need to stream a MP4 file. I think the consensus here is to use Flash to do this. I do not own Flash and I had rather not purchase it just for a few videos. Anyone have a suggestion?

You don't need Adobe Flash to use it, you do need the Adobe Flash Player - just about everyone has this. The first step would be to convert your mp4 file over to flv, then insert that into your web page. Convert the file -> http://www.sharewareguide.net/article/Tip/flv-encoder:-how-to-convert-mpg--mp4--m4v--mov--rm--avi--mpeg--wmv-to-flv-file.html I don't know of a good flash program that will display it, I'll have to check around and get back with you on which one to go with. About 2 years ago I went through all of this and built a website similar to Youtube that handled these flv/swf players. Let me see if I can figure out what that program was called.
