Website backups - 7/24/2009 11:37:49
I'm using a VPS running WHM / cPanel and I want to regularly backup a few sites that have constantly changing databases and upload new images regularly (+email accounts).

cPanel has a manual backup otpion, which would seem to cover all 3.
It saves as a tar.gz (which I trust can be restored via any cPanel)?
The file can be downloaded from the sites home directory using ftp.

WHM has a sheduled backup but I am not sure if the restore function allows me to choose which site to restore or just does them all?

Anyhow, my main question is... Does anyone have any pearls of wisdom concerning the available backup options of WHM/cPanel or any other method to recommend for the job?

Yes, I had read this previously - I'm just digging around to see if there are other methods that people commonly employ that may for any reason be preferable :)

Cheers
