2 sites for to be looked at please - 12/18/2001 15:43:21
Hey everybody

I have two sites I would like some feedback on. The first is http://www.quantumalarm.com I will preface this one by saying I could not talk them out of the music.

Second is a concept site I am working on with a consulting group that has a pretty good following but now a web site. Currently the only thing on it is a flash movie with a question for clients and potential clients. Will be doing a mass mailing with the new site to customers and slowly add to it after wetting appettite.

What do you think of this idea for a marketing concept?

Thanks

traveler,

Try again, for a personal site the music might be all right but for a company site??
I'm not a big fan of red on black but if thats what they want. Generally a clean layout and to the point. Oh, it may be the holidays but there might be a bit more subtle way to advertise the Christmas special I'm no Grinch but maybe a simple animated Santa or snowman with a "special" sign?
pacesetterinc - I personally would be a bit irrated to receive an email with a link to a website with no content only a question. If I didn't have the Flash player or my company didn't allow it I would be more annoyed
but at least there isn't any music.

I think, therefore I am, I think.

Make the buttons do something on hover. The background really should be white... the logo and pics are white backgrounds and it doesn't look right.

Maybe because I am into breastfeeding education, maybe because I am a little on the freaky side... but those two targets at the end of the presentation don't look right.

But, personally, I would check back. You would do better to have a small description with a an email signup form to have them notified of when the site is up. Just MHO.

Allow me to talk not about the layout and the content of site one but to the music. I'll ask these three questions, your client needs to consider.
1. Can you put a way to turn off the music?
2. Didn't the Mission Impossible Teams break into any and all places.
3. Is that the correct music for a security company?

On the other site.
1. What if you don't have flash installed. I don't because I don't want all the tricks that it can do. I want the information.

If asking a question with a flash program, that many people won't see due to the above, how are you going to generate leads?

I've been in sales for around 15 years, and the great thing about the internet is the ability though a site to generate QUALIFIED LEADS, people that want your product. If they don't know what your products are about they won't stay. Give them some answers in your content.

First thing I would do is have your consulting group hire a sales/marketing person.

P.S. I'm avalible

Just my thoughts
