Seems mighty complicated. Not sure the main stream will adopt it. Not sure I want somebody to see what I'm typing as I type it. I quite often type things and think better of them before I hit send.

i wactched a presentation of Google Wave it would be amazing. Good competitor to the social medias + chat messengers. It would be a new generation, unique product. The Internet would never be the same after Google Wave is realized ;)

Seems like another app where virus's can sneak in. Do we really need this?

Another 'me to' application from a big company who thinks they should have one and bully the originators out. I'm just a cynical old fart (sorry - silver surfer).

"A wave is live. With live transmission as you type, participants on a wave can have faster conversations, see edits and interact with extensions in real-time." Above quote from wave.google.com Looks like a glorified Instant Message program to me. Will they will be popping up all over my screen when I am checking my gmail? Like they do in AOL?

My guess is that the developers at work making plugins for this technology will come up with some compelling uses. I can imagine some pretty cool games, but I can't see many folks I know using the system I saw in the demo video. It's way too intimidating for them, and I'm not convinced it solves any problems they currently have.
