Looking for a website - 8/10/2009 8:43:18
We are in need of a new laser printer, and I am trying to find a website that will compare printers by their cost per peice of paper to print. Does anyone know of a printer website that shows this information by chance? Or, anyone know of a printer that is very efficient? Just needs to be black and white text all day, and maybe 300 pages per day printed (invoicing printer).

I would like to add that you should include toxicity in your printer specification. It's quite alarming that some of the laser printers are actually quite toxic with the gases and chemicals that are emitted.

I have an HP5si that has not needed a new cartridge for 3 years. I also have two HP 1020's that need new cartridges about once every year. It would seem that the cartridges don't last as long, and therefore, HP gets sales sooner?

I also have an HP 4500 that was given a very good toxicity rating. It uses a toner replacement about once a year.

It should be noted that all of these printers are high workload. They print thousands of sheets each month.

I would recommend HP, whatever model number they are on. Factor in SLR (supplies, replacement, repairs) and I think they come out on top.

I don't know of a site that does this comparison
