Animating an image - 8/15/2009 2:05:52
An unusual request - my searches have found nothing.

I need to animate an image - slow left to right movement of a cloud image.

But - I'm doing this inside a MOO - which means I can't get access to the html between the head tags easily.

So, what I need is some way of:

  • animating the image
  • staying away from head tags (which may preclude Javascript)
  • be able to adjust the z index so it floats over existing content

Any suggestions would be very welcome.

Cheers

Can you use either an animated gif (which you could make fairly easily in PS or PSE or similar) or even better - use Flash or Swish to make it. Flash is usually a smaller file size than an animated gif.

Not really

I want the Cloud image (.png/.gif) to be moved across the existing screen - it will be event driven from within the MOO. That's why I'd like to be able to alter the z index so it floats over existing text.

Cheers
