IE 8 Crashing only on select pages - 8/23/2009 8:13:09
Is anyone having problems with internet explorer 8 crashing on certain web pages? I have a flash header on my site and out of 40 some pages, only a few will crash internet explorer.
The error is: This page has caused IE 8 to crash and it goes into a loop to try and reopen the page which does not work. Can anyone explain whether this is a problem with my page or just a IE 8 glitch.
I have researched the entire net to find answers but only come up with more questions and it seems to be a new common problem. I use Vista with IE 8 and FrontPage 2003.
Any ideas would be greatly apprieciated.

Have loaded your site using IE8. No problems.
I use XP though, so error seems to be with Vista.

i opened the site in latest stable firefox on windows vista home premium and it crashed. restarted and it crashed again! this is the first time that firefox (this version) has crashed!
crashed my IE8 too!
opera 10 beta said
The Shockwave Flash plug-in failed.
A restart of Opera is recommended.
same flash problem in chrome ... :)

Same as Golfer, IE8 on XP is OK., as is Opera and the latest Firefox. So yes, it would seem that Vista is the culprit (as well as the lack of Doc Type as tailslide said.)

Thanks guys for all your help. I added the DOCTYPE coding in the very first line of the page and it still crashed. I'm not sure what other coding errors there are since most of the page was created by FrontPage.
It's kind of leaning towards a Vista thing then, right???
