Change of server name - 9/8/2009 10:47:20
Hi I created and update a website for the school I work at on Microsoft Frontpage 2003. Uploading has always been fine until recently when the organisation that hosts school websites decided to upgrade the service. In doing so they have renamed the server (its ftp1:nsix.org.uk). I can not find anywhere to change or put in the new details and the organisation that does this (which supports schools in their ICT) does not know how to do it. At the moment the website will not upload presumably because of this. It does not say it has a problem if you try and upload via ftp but will not change the pages on the remote site (and on the URL). Please can you help!!! Our website desperately needs updating but can't figure out next step. Thanks

In your FTP client software, you should be able to use an "EDIT or MODIFY" button to make changes to the hostname for a particular connection. You could also type it in the broswer address bar and use the broswer to ftp your files up to the server BTW, shouldn't that be ftp1.nsix.org.uk instead of ftp1:nsix.org.uk (dot instead of colon)
