Image name problems - 10/14/2009 18:28:23
Hello all. I have posted over a hundred pictures to a customer's site. The server is linux, and for some reason the extentions on the image names are all showing up on the server as capitol letters (.JPG instead of .jpg). None of the file extensions are capitalized when I view them on my computer. The Front Page component created the photo gallery with small letter extensions, and the links are all broken. Can anyone tell me how to easily rename the photos, or what I can do to make them load as .jpg instead of .JPG? Thanks in advance. Chris

Very odd. You say you ftp'd jpg images from your local drive to a linux server and the server changed the jpg file extension to JPG? Is that correct? I have never had that happen. Maybe something in the htaccess file telling the server to modify your jpg extension but I doubt it. Doing a Google search on your problem got no hits. Please note that if you created a photo gallery using the FP component it is only viewable in IE. Maybe you should post a link to your site for us to check.
