I recently upgraded the extensions on my IIS server (5.0) yesterday afternoon and now am unable to publish anything to it. I keep getting a server timeout error. HELP!! This server houses the intranet for the company I consult for and I'm going on vacation tomorrow until the 2nd of January....

mende...are you able to ping the server. Something in the TCP/IP path has broken. timeout means it isn't finding it. Try to connect with the IP number. If it connects that means it's DNS. Web site is running right?

All this to change a number into a name...

caywind, removing the extensions fixed the problem. I've had this problem before and the solution last time was the same thing. I haven't been able to succesfully install the new extensions and then update an existing site on the IIS server. Sucks!!
