Web Site Feedback - Please! - 12/20/2001 16:48:12
Hi,

I am a beginner web designer, constantly looking for ways and suggestions on improving my work. I am currently about to rebuild the Murer Website. This is a temporary site I created in FP until I am done with the new design. Please give me your feedback. On all the sites I created. I need all the help I can get.

Mind if I call you mts? My keyboarding is veerry slow
For murer.com, a little more consistancy would be good, things like section seperators, whether to be able to see table borders or not, colors (table), etc. The biography section is way different (I assume you just haven't gotten there yet). You also need to work on image sizes.
ahealthystart.com does not come up, sorry.
horizenhospice.com could use some pictures, it's kind of dull being all text. Also I would have the same left nav bar on the home page as on all the others. Of the three (two) I think its the better one.

I think, therefore I am, I think.

Hello,

I would spend some time learning how to use a graphics program, AKA, Photoshop. It will steer you away from drab FP themes and develop your designing personality.

Hi,

Thanks for the tips and advice. Much appreciated. I gave the wrong address for for number 2 its ahealthystart.org

horizonhospice.org is a company I use to work for, they wouldn't allow you to add images or really be creative.
As for murer.com, I am in the process of changing the design of it. They want to remain very informative and continue to use charts. I want to make this site look more business and professional. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks again. I need all the help I can get.

Question: What is appropriate size for images?

Hi MTS-I just get the feeling of swimming in a huge ocean. On the homepage, I think maybe too much space. Maybe you could get rid of the nav buttons and use text links in the left border.? It would bring the rest of the page together a little bit. Especially if you're going "business" with it. Your page text tends to be longer than the border contents on most pages anyway (another swimming feeling?), so this would not screw up the "aesthetics" too much. Maybe a nice little "Mouse over" on the text.? Did you know that "biographies" uses a different theme (Zeros).

Nice site. A ton of info to deal with, though, huh? I would normally (myself) split huge pages like those into separate pages but you have so many pages as it is. Can you do away with some of the graphics, say on the client list. You "could" list them in about half the space.

Nice site. Your clients must be happy. I'd love to see it when you're done.
