So new I can't open an established web - 4/4/2001 20:06:00
Please help, we have an established web site. I need to update it, I've taken an intro class, but I still can't get the web open. I keep getting the following error: The folder isn't accessible may be located on an unavailable volume or protected by a password. I have a user name and password, but it never asks me for one. please help

Are you using File/Import Web in Front Page? This should take you to the server and ask you for your user name and password... then the web should download into the file you select on your cpu. (FP may ask if you want to apply FP extensions to the web, but other than that it should be working for you.)

Hi Annades

Don't import the existing site!

You should be able to open the site in FP and then publish back to your hard drive.

Click File/Open Web and then type the URL in the Folder Name box. You should be prompted to enter an id/password.

What is the url of your site?
