WEB CALENDAR with FrontPage - 1/8/2002 16:18:04
I would like to find a calendaring program that allows me to create and maintain a calendar within FrontPage.

I realize that there are many web-based calendar sites, but I would like to stay away from that.

WEB-EVENT Classic is still available but the cost is high. I would like a program with the same features and the same look, but at a lower cost.

Any suggestions.
Thanks;
Monique

I don't know how experienced you are, but I used FP, sql and asp to create a database calendar.

Monique,

Depending on your needs - this might work.
https://www.websunlimited.com/help_pages_2002/CalWizard2002/calendar_wizard_2002_help.htm

You can create a monthly calendar with many events. It is also easy to use.

Hope this helps.

Look here: http://www.dbhsoftware.com/
This calendar creator is all HTML so it loads fast and it's free.

Monique,

I have been evaluating 2 calendaring products that allow users to post their own calendar events.

The products are Matt Kruse's CalendarScript 3.0 www.calendarscript.com and Aufrance Associate's Calendar Internet http://bontemps.com/. I like CalendarScript a bit better, plus it is significantly less expensive.

I will be implementing CalenderScript next month on a site. Drop me an email at davidw@nextgensoftware.com if you want to stay in touch about it.

I have used Matt Kruses script a few times. It is good, easy to set up and easy for users to understand.

Cannot send you to an example as they are on intranets or in password protected areas.

I looked at a lot of the free or very cheap ones available, in many cases to the point of setting them up at considerable trouble to myself, and they are mostly......... well, let's just say you get what you pay for

I've used this one a few times. Pretty limited in its initial configuration. But its free (one of the 'magic' words) and it is quite customizeable if you're comfortable with ASP and VBScript...

See the link below for an ASP based calendar called Webcal. It's very easy to setup and you can update the calendar from the site itself. You can give others the ability to update it as well if you'd like.

I have used several, and I really like this one. Easy to set up and modify.

And they have a forum full of stuff to go along with it.
