which db software? - 1/9/2002 14:23:22
Hi I want to setup a website based on database results. consider it would have double size trafic of outfront (not community but say classified or flat rentals directory, yellow pages etc.). Is it advisable to use Access or FoxPro or any other on the base of: high number of concurrent users, faster retrieval thru sql, size, and etc and in general. Please also compare with your suggestions. Thanks n advance.

I know from experience (and it has been posted many times here) that you're only going to get about 10 users hitting your server concurrently before Access will break. Anything that size would definitely need at least SQL Server(Win servers) or mySQL(Unix). At least IMO....
