FP 2002 Extensions Problem - 1/10/2002 12:31:14
I recently installed the FP 2002 extensions. All went fine. During the install, it makes copies of all the groups and users, and creates it's own groups with a naming convention like: OWS_1019929494_admin OWS_1019929494_advauthor OWS_1019929494_browser etc...you get the idea. All still is ok. Authors can still edit save, open webs, etc... I figured now that I have to use the FP extensions to edit the group members, I can remove the old groups, and just keep the OWS groups....so I removed all the old groups... Everything is still OK now, but with ONE problem. And I can't figure it out for the life of me... The extensions works fine, I can add/remove users now using the Browser and the new extensions... But when a user open his/her webpage, and opens an existing page, makes a change, and tries to save it, it prompts for a name and password. If you click cancel, it saves it anyway....but its an annoyance... Does anyone know why the users now get prompted? If they create a new web page, they DO NOT get prompted. I've checked the ACL permissions, and the OWS group DOES have access to their web... What's going on? Does anyone have any good references to how these new extensions work??? Thanks!
