very annoying navbar problem - 1/13/2002 10:35:50
I have a very annoying problem that I can't seem to figure out. My left side navigation bar is really wacked. I've set up my pages in the navigation view so that some pages are top level and some children/siblings of the homepage. Then I have two nav bars: one at the top that shows the top level pages and one on the left that shows the siblings. The problem: my left nav bar seems to be picking up the top level pages as well. And the stranger part is that it only does this when I view the site in the browser. In design and preview, it looks as it should! The font on the top nav bar should be smaller but that is a lesser problem. The site is at: www.agencies.state.al.us/crimevictims Any ideas? I've already started the site over thinking it was something in the coding and I've republished it to the server several times. Noting seems to be working. Rayne www.raynecountry.net

When you look at the left nav in design view does it show 2 navigation components, one above the other? If so just delete the bottom one (for the top level pages). If not, have you tried recalculating the site? I think, therefore I am, I think.

There is only one nav bar on the left in design view. I've recalculated the site and it still gives me both nav bars when I view it in the browser. I've even looked at the code in the left border and there is only one webbot for the navbar. Rayne www.raynecountry.net
