FP2002 not recognizing dial-up connection - 1/13/2002 17:11:44
I just got a copy of FP 2002 and published a web from my
home computer - worked great. Now I am trying to publish
this same web from an office that has a network of
computers, but when I try to publish - it says I may not
have my extensions installed... I already checked with my
host and it is working from my home computer, so I know
they are installed.
On the office computer I noticed in the "preview" tab
there is a link to a weather site - it should be viewable
while I am connected to the internet - and it is not. I
also cannot "activate" my copy of FrontPage. I conclude
from both of these instances that FrontPage is not
recognizing my internet connection - even while I am
online. HOW CAN I CONFIGURE IT TO DO SO????
.

Is internet working at the office. What is the URL you type in at the office? HMMM... try Tools-->Options-->. at the bottom left of this dialog is a button called "proxy settings" Check there for the network internet connection...

All this to change a number into a name...
