What's "Detect and Repair" do and why is it in Help? There appears to be no help for detect and repair in help???? FP2000
All this to change a number into a name...

I believe detect and repair uses your FP installation disc to check for file corruption in FP and make necessary repairs if any are found. It's something you can try if FP is crashing or misbehaving in some fashion or another. And you're right at wondering why it's under Help... it should be under HELP!!!
