arnie -> What happens to db connection when changing to SQL (1/14/2002 18:58:54)

Would experiment myself, but time is short to make a decision to "switch now or later."

If I change to SQL Server from Access 2000, will I have to click through all DRWs to make work (once the db connection has been redirected to the SQL db?)

Hope not - there are tons of them...

Thanks!

At the simplest level, you would open your site live, and edit the existing database connection in the tools > web settings to point to the new SQL connection

I would think that as long as you are using the DRW, you would just have to change the db connection then verify it.

Thanks-
I'm hoping it's that simple. I knew that I would have to redirect the connection but was paranoid that the multitudes of DRWs might need work.

After 2 1/2 years, I still don't take this assistance for granted. Spooky, Thomas & everyone - thanks again for providing this forum...

About the only thing to keep an eye on (if they arent simple DRW queries) is handling of dates

They're simple enough. I bet it will work - hope to try some tonight.
