I have a problem getting my hover buttons to work right within frames
seems the links will open but as full page and won't load in the the <base target> window as I need them to

When you look at the properties on the hover button, have you selected the correct frame for it to target.
Just check what you have called the frame that you want to target. When you go to the properties of the hover button and go to the target frame options, type in the name of the frame in the target settings and that will set it right.
