Website source problem - 1/18/2002 15:02:34
I edit and save my web site to a local Novell server. I then publish via FP to the web server itself. The Frontpage application itself is installed on my C: drive.
Due to a server problem, it looks like I will need to restore the website directories from tape to the Novell server. Will this have an effect when I publish to the web server? (will the whole website have to be republished or can changes only be published?).
Thanks

I'm guessing FP will try to publish the whole thing.

If the files you "save" to the Novell server are just that, saved files (disk based web), then restoring them to the Novell server should put you right back where you started from. If you open the files in FP on your local drive and publish any changed pages, FP should just publish the changes. I am of course, assuming that the Novell server is NOT the web server and you are just saving files there.

I think, therefore I am, I think.
