What ISP do you use? - 1/20/2002 23:40:20
I use a $19.95/month ISP now but I see a lot of $6.95 offers with frontpage out there. How can I tell if they are reliable or not. What do you recommend?

I can't think of what an ISP could have to do with Frontpage - are you talking about a Host? Gil Harvey The Host Factory Resellers are our Specialty Find a Web Professional

If it's a host, check the details to see if the space and bandwidth allowed will work for you - also, what extras are included that you may need, such as cgi-bin, SSI, SSL, etc. You might also post the url here and we can check it out in case any of us have used with them. If it's an ISP that offers free personal space with fp extensions, just be aware that some of the super low prices are overloaded with customers... though they may also work fine for you. At that rate, it'd be worth trying it for a month without dropping your old ISP (especially if they charge a new set-up fee if you decide to go back to using them). Linda Frontpage Web Templates

Sorry, I ment a Host, not an ISP. The one I was looking at is http://www.aplushosting.com I see from a website called http://www.ispcheck.com/ there are a lot of cheap Host's out there.

I concure with Kas. I have a few freebie sites on Tripod, pretty nice for free. If you don't want the banner ad it is $5.00 a month which is resonable. Now on the other side of the scale my main site runs me around $30.00 a month but I happily pay this as it is worth it to me. Brian Work hard, play fair, stay sane

Hi just saw your note - I am using cedant.com - they have a US$7.95/month service and fully support FP Server Extensions - their customer service is "blindingly fantastic" - I am very impressed - and I am based in Australia - strongly suggest you check them out RR

If you don't yet have a domain and don't need a ton of space and bandwidth, www.catalog.com is a great deal. Pay $35/yr for the domain and the hosting is free. Linda Rose Templates for Valentines Day
