Can not get a form that sends email to work on a sub web. Have recalculated the web directly on server, removed server extensions and reapplies to no avail. Any suggestions? You can see the form at http://www.galink.net/vince/enlist.htm

Did you try manually reinstalling extensions? (if it's automated it occasionally doesn't work as well)

Did you publish again after reinstalling extensions?

Yes to both. Do you think you could try my scenario? If you have a FrontPage web, try this and you will see what I mean: create a folder called new and then convert that folder to a web then create a new page and use the feedback form template and set it to email to you. Go to your browser and pull up the new/feedback.htm, see if you get the same error. Let me know what happens, please.

Hi,

Tried your scenario and it worked fine for me. I would contact the host.

Well, now I'm really baffled. I am the host.

Never had a problem. Are you on a Unix/Linux box or Windoze?

Sorry. Been swamped lately. On Windoze 2K Adv. Server. Works great as long as it is not a sub web.

Sorry, I don't know of any reason it wouldn't work - works on Unix, Maybe one of the Win guys will be along and have an answer for you.

We run both, and I wouldn't give you a plugged nickel for FP extensions running on a Windows-based server. WHAT a pain in the ass.

Did you build these forms with FP or outside FP? It means a great deal. You're better off building them with an outside source. FP's form building is server-extensions dependent and WILL mess up on a Windows based server.

It's much easier to manage if you use a cgi-bin and put your form scripts in there.

Move to a Linux/Apache for the ultimate in extensions stability and ease of corrections. All my extensions problems went away when I moved to a Linux/Apache server.
