IIS 4 Permissions - 1/22/2002 17:57:27
I am running a intranet using IIS4 on NT. Certain pages link to office documents--Word & Excel. I have not changed anything on the permissions than what is set on default. However, when a non-adminstrator clicks on the link to an Office doc, he is challanged for a username and password. What is strange is an html page works fine in the same directory. It is only Office docs. Also, if I link to an Office doc on another server, the link works fine. So, it has to be something in the IIS permissions. Anyone ever seen this before?? Please help!
