Template not working when publishing to server - 1/23/2002 17:19:50
I created my company's site using FrontPage 2002 and am working with a hosting company that has server extensions for FrontPage 2000 and 98. I purchased the GlobalBusiness template (without Flash) and used this to create the site. My question is, when I go to publish the site, I get the following message: "The following pages in your web site contain link bars or navigation bars that use new formatting options. They will not display properly because the server you are publishing to does not support these features." Now is this a template issue or the server issue? I tried publishing just the template (which I had saved, just in case) and that worked just fine. What's going on here? Please, please, please--I need help ASAP!!! Management wants this site launched by the end of the week!

FP 2002 needs the 2002 extensions. Move to a different host or have them install them. BTW, if your host does not have 2002 extensions installed after nearly 8 months that 2002 has been out, I would complain. This is one reason I have not upgraded to 2002 myself. We have it available, but I've heard a littany of complaints about problems with FP 2002 and the new extensions it requires. Hosts are going nuts trying to keep up with BOTH extensions versions.
