published to server- terrible probs - 1/25/2002 17:44:07
Hi - please help me.
I am urgently needing to get my site running by monday.
I published to my server last night - they have frontpage server extensions etc.
(My site is using a database - MS Access)
Please could you look at it - www.thoroughbredonline.co.nz
The host assures me their end is fine - say it is a frontpage thing and that I need to read my manual!!!
Seems that alot of things are saying they are now in a second "private" folder (the only things in there are my "two include" pages.
Please help me - is this something I can control? - is it the host? - is it frontpage?

Are you just concerned about getting the text off the top? Do you want the include page in the left part of the page? Give us some more detail about what you want.

Looks like the publish procedure created a second set of folders. I would try to publish again, specify http://thouroghbredonline.co.nz as the destination (no slashes or anything). you can get rid of the old junk later....
All this to change a number into a name...

There is an include page in the left hand nav bar and an include page in the top nav bar.
There is meant to be a pic on the right hand side - it says it isn't there. Seems that the locations are wrong ie. two lots of "private" folders? - this is only the first page - i don't even seem to be able to find the other pages let alone the database!
I See this - [_private/_private/include_top_2.htm][_private/_private/include_p_left.htm] - why the two "private folders"?
Also - the tiling on the front page of my text etc?

YAY YAY YAY
someone at the hosting site who knew what they were doing - finally looked at what was happening (after the sanctimonious ?_(&*(&^ person told me to read my manuals!!!) - they had 2002 server extension installed - I used fp2000. Apparently they now realise they needed the fp2000 server extensions.
All working now - thank goodness
