Is there a way to install Wav files and when there activated the Media player window won't come up?

What do you mean by "install"? Can't you just use the bgsound tag or the embed tag or are you referring to a downloadable link? Depending on how your server software is setup there may be nothing you can do about the wave trying to stream itself when linking to it. If that's the case I would just use the embed plug-in which will give a little console with on-off buttons for people to choose to play it or not. You can configure it to start playing on the webpage startup or not.
