rename/resize images - 2/5/2002 10:02:53
Hi,

This is a 2 part question.
1)I am receiving many digital images for a site on a weekly basis. Thek keep having the same name. Is there a good way to rename them so the are not the same - ex add wk2 to all of them them?
2) Is there an easy way to resize all the above images in 1 step?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Erin

Some Photo-editing programs like photoshop have a batch command the will automate the process. (it is under the File menu in PS).
As for the renaming you can rename them as you bring them into FP, but it certainly is no different then doing so when you edit them in a image-editing program (when i do it)

Don,

I know I can rename them but I was hoping for a nice batch option since it could be 50-70 pictures on a weekly basis.

Any idea?

Erin

Hello Erin,

Actually, Don did address your question. You need a graphics editor that has a batch processing command.

What editor are you using currently?

Troy,

I have photo shop 2000 SE & Paint Shop Pro. In Paint Shop Pro I did not see an option to rename all at once unless I missed it. Also when I try to batch resize it gets fuzzy. How have you done this?

Thanks
Erin
