erinatkins -> Will uninstalling SQL 6.5 effect ASP ? (2/6/2002 10:21:09) We are looking to move SQL 6.5 to a new machine. Seems to me that I would need to uninstall on old machine before putting on new machine but I want to use old machine to continue to host some sites that use ASP. Will uninstalling the 6.5 break anything? We are not using the SQL specifically for anything on the old server. Our new machine would use the 6.5 license. Thanks in advance for your help. Erin

(2/7/2002 15:20:14) If you're not accessing the SQL service at all, it should not affect your web services at all (except a disruption when rebooting after removal). Of couse, before you do be sure you have a good VERIFIED backup..... Just remember not to remove any shared components....
