Moving text from one page to another - 2/12/2002 20:48:50
Occasionally I'm asked to move text on one web page to another page. I've simply been cutting and pasting and sometimes this includes cutting and pasting text within a table. But this causes the page to look all out of whack for Netscape users.

I can first place text in notepad to eliminate any formatting, but then this eliminates hyperlinks.

Is there a better way to do this so I don't have to redo all the links?

No easy way I know of. tried and true method is the Notepad way to avoid getting some messy code pasted in the new page.

Gail,

I find that using the Paste Special option under edit saves me a lot of time in situations where FP tries to paste already formatted things into a webpage.

When I paste things as "normal paragraphs" (under Edit>>Paste Special) that helps me. I'm not sure if this is what you want though.

Good luck!

Tony
