Finally bought a domain for myself to try and drum up some local business. I've got my site started at www.sterlingsitedesign.com I'm sure I'll be expanding on it when I figure out how to structure prices, and break it down into seperate categories for types of sites I've put together. In the mean time is there anything horrendous about this one page site? And is it bad to forward the domain to a subdomain that I can have hosted free?

Rich,

I like what you have done so far. I am in the process of creating my own now also for the same reasons you are. I like the way your page is layed out and the visitor can either view the page or visit the page in a new window. I am also am struggling with pricing my services. I wish there was a simple formula. Did you use FP for every site you have done?

I'll check your site again as time goes on. Excellent start.

My suggestion is that if you are going to use the link from the picture the resulting picture should be somewhat larger. It's quite small. These are nice sites and a large picture would show them off with detail and the customer could then decide if they wanted to follow the link to the actual site.

That's a good idea PBailey. And yes they are all FrontPage sites.

I like what you have done so far. I think showcasing them on 1 page is ok.

I would make your images larger as pbailey suggested.

Hi Rich,

I can see by your heading that you learned how to use a Photoshop Action...I think I would put it all on 1 line and maybe remove the blue background. Im pretty sure with that actioon the bg is on its own layer.

Just seems to take up a lot of room...

I like that heading Ricard! That's cool! And orignally I was going to say I wanted to see that portfolio images larger when I click on them instead of being another small pic, but then I realized if I click on the link, it does open larger. Maybe you can have the image also open the to the same size as the link. OTherwise, I think it's great.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm working on getting my ducks in a row with pricing, contact information and such before I work on the graphical look and layout too much. This thread is the only link to it in the world at this point.
