I'm trying to make an image 126 pixels wide by 26 pixels high to place in a table in Frontpage. Anyway, the image I'm trying to create is a solid color tab like the tabs on the top of msn.com. The way I tried it is I opened a new page 126x26. Then I tried to draw the image with one of the shapes and fill it in with a solid color. The image looks terrible because the edges are not smooth, but square. Any advice?

Try checking the 'antialias' box.

In the tool options you might have to uncheck "Retain Style" to check the Antialiasing box. When you do, you'll have to select both a stroke and a fill coloror pattern.

makes me wonder if you are talking about the actual edges (are they jaggy) or if you are looking for more rounded corners etc.

If you want the rounded corners to show you have to make the new image you open just a little larger then the size you want. For instance, if you just draw a rounded rectangle in the image window filling the whole window some of your edges, corners, or sides, will be squared off. If that is the problem you are having make your new image larger then you need, draw your shape, select with the object selector, right click, copy, save as new image.
