The design seem good but it could use some content just kidding. At this stage I will repeat something that I offered for a similar type of site and that was to pull some of the images out of the bible and use them to add color to your pages. For example "Pastoral Exhortations" is a bit dry as text only. An image here and there would add something. I'm not saying overwhelm the visitor with imagery just one or two here and there. IMHO only.

Nice site. Looks like it will be pretty easy to maintain, which is important when the content is updated weekly.

I would either change the background color of the current page indicator on your menu or change to a darker font color to increase the contrast. Currently you're using white text on a light tan background that makes the text almost impossible to read on my laptop.

You are very sharp. Yes, it was intended for weekly updating.
