meangler -> No text and graphics in "page view" (4/7/2001 21:45:00)

A problem that I hope isn't unique with me is a sudden lack of text and graphics in "page" view. The lower third of my main page (wouldn't you know) shows all in "preview" and in the browser, but not in the page view where I can work with it. All that shows is a big blank box, and I can't even get the cursor in it. I venture fearfully into html now and then, and wonder if I did something there that caused this. Anyone know how I might fix this?

Without seeing the HTML, it is very hard to say, but one guess would be....did you accidentally put in a java script but not ALL of that scrpt and external files are available in your folder?

Even if all external files ARE in your web folder, in the right place, you still will onlly see a big (or small, depending on applet) box where the applet will run when you are in preview or after u have published.

Did you happen to add a table? Maybe if you did, the cell properties is set to default as far as positioning within the cell is concerned. if this is the case then place the cursor as close to the left middle of the big box and then click and see if the cursor goes into it. Otherwise without seeing the code it is hard to determine what is wrong.

Thanks Dixiedi, but I didn't intentionally do any Java stuff. Wouldn't know how if I wanted to. If a look at the code would help, you could view the source of the page in question at: http://www.localyokelanglers.com/main.htm
My default pg. is just a "doorway" to this "main" pg. Thanks much in any event.

Gene & Dixiedi, I rebuilt the page down through the blank area by first deleting all html from just above it to the bottom. I spaced the cursor down with the enter key and was careful to always keep the spaces below. Hung onto the cursor that way and it's all fixed. Thanks just the same. Sure good to know there is help out there, cause if there's a way to screw up, I'll find it.
