shared border length - 4/7/2001 23:10:00
I have a shared border that has a colored background. I would like the bottom of the page to stop with the content in the main part of the page. Some pages are just one screen long and some are very long. Every time I change the size of the transparent gif to aadjust the length of the border it affects the whole site.

So now I have a border that is huge on pages where the content is only a screen or two long.

How do I fix it so I can have different length borders to match the content of each page?

You can't. A shared border is going to be the same on all pages. That is the whole idea of them. If you want that area to be different you would have to make the shorter pages in a different way: no shared border, and put the content from the shared border that you do want either on the actual page, or make an include page to put there.
