Feedback Please - 3/6/2002 14:35:53
I did the following webpage for my sister a couple of months ago and it seems to be working OK - www.luxuryorlandovilla.co.uk We advertised the site in a national newspaper at the weekend and a couple of people rang to say the links at the side aren't working. When I look at them it all seems fine. I would really appreciate any feedback anyone has to give on this site. It is my very first attempt so try to be kind .... Thanks Eileen

This site looks familiar - didn't we do a site critique on it? If so, go back and review any comments made. I would immediately suspect the FP hover buttons as the problem.

No there wasn't a critique done on it. I did post a question some time back asking about hover buttons. Does that mean that some people can't access the linked pages? I did get some great tips but I am so hopeless at code that I haven't attempted to change it yet. I'm really scared I'll mess up what I've already done - which at least seems to work for some people.

I think I would just use plain links or buttons and get away from the hover buttons. If you really like the mouseover change effect, perhaps use a theme that you've modified adding your own buttons or else use the mighty mouseover machine to generate your code to use with buttons you've made.

Hi Eileen, Looked at your site using XP, IE 6.0, with connection at 26.4 on 56K modem. Resolution at 800 X 600. The site loaded fast. Checked all your links - no problems found. I did notice that your Pool, Living Area and Bedroom pages are all titled "New Page 2" based on File>Properties on IE. It may cause a problem as to future updates. John I only do what the voices in my head tell me to.
